Susurrus, 2012
When a sound seems to go missing, silence is not left. I propose sound has been quieted, but remain present. Sounds muffled by the floors, walls, and ceilings have provided me with an unsolicited lullaby within my two-story apartment. At night, this space pulsates as a result of what I perceive as susurrations and footsteps further silenced by my falling asleep. This is a lullaby of sorts.
